Originally from Burundi Africa, Innocent has always been passionate about entertaining and playing music from a young age, He began DJing in his early teens for weddings, family parties, friends and for school disco's...

On relocating to the UK in 2002, he was dissapointed to find that there was very few African events in Liverpool. Thus he began promoting African culture, music and events in Liverpool, and so began his DJ career in the UK. This became so successful that he turned professional DJ in 2005 and began running 'The Buja Bar' Liverpool's only regular African Club night.

His popular Urban African Club Nights at his venue EUROPA BAR on Hardman Street, Liverpool City Centre continue to grow in popularity, bringing together Africans, as well as Europeans of all nations in one venue.

As well as African music and culture, Innocent has a keen interest in Afro-Latin heritage and music, as demonstrated in his love of Salsa, Merengue and Reggaeton both as a dancer and a DJ. In conjunction with Salsa teacher, DJ & promoter Karen from Salsa Liverpool, the extremely popular Monday night classes mean that people from all backgrounds, nationalities and ages learn to dance this popular dance style side by side...
